Brigg chocolatier Fiona Sciolti has broken a record at the Deliciousyorkshire Food Awards by winning the confectionery category four years in a row.
Fiona’s unique Sea Buckthorn Truffle scooped first place at the regional food groups Awards in a category which also saw two of her other products shortlisted – gourmet chocolate bars Cocoa Nib and Seasalt, and Orange and Chilli.
“Chocolate making is an absolute passion of mine,” said Fiona.
“I make a real effort to source excellent quality, unusual and predominantly local ingredients – which is why these awards mean so much.
“The sea buckthorn for example was gathered from the Lincolnshire coastline. I’m constantly keeping up to date with food trends and trying new techniques, and I hope the judges could see that I embrace artisan skills and outstanding local produce.”
