Popular Barnetby pub the Whistle and Flute sponsored a handicap, the fourth race on the card, at Market Rasen’s latest race meeting and representatives made the presentation to the owners of the winning horse Benefit Cut.

Publicans Karl and Emma Trillo are keen racegoers and they also own a horse ‘Whistle we Go’ which is trained by Nick Kent at his Newstead yard near Brigg.

Chairman of Market Rasen Racecourse Colin Booth said: “It is nice for us to have local people sponsoring racing.

“The Whistle and Flute at Barnetby is a popular hostelry and it is great to have the link up.”
