“It is absolutely fantastic news to have been awarded five stars,” said Julia Evans, front of house manager at the March Hare.

“We work very hard to maintain high standards and it is nice to receive recognition for that.”

The March Hare opened just under two years ago and has become known for its relaxed atmosphere and seasonal menu.

Chef Louise Rendall joined the team last August and since then has introduced a number of items which are proving popular with customers.

“The in-house cheesecakes are a big thing here with our customers,” added Julia.

“Twice a week we have different flavours and they go down really well.

“We also introduced afternoon tea this year and that is also proving very popular.”

Julia believes it is always important to listen to customers and this certainly seems to have paid off.

“We are thrilled by some of the comments we receive ,” said Julia.

“We are also delighted to have achieved a four and a half star overall rating on the Tripadvisor website thanks to customer reviews.”

The March Hare also now offers bed and breakfast accommodation, which is already being booked well in to 2017.
