The A158 road works at Wragby were completed yesterday afternoon (Tuesday July 15).

Over the last 12 weeks the road has been fully reconstructed and resurfaced, and so the council should not have to return to the site for at least 20 years.

The £350,000 scheme has been completed ahead of schedule.

But business owners like Rod Alcock, landlord of the Ivy Public House, pictured say they have lost thousands of pounds in trade.

Rod claims losses of £2,500 a week, the Post Office £400-£500 a week, and Patrick Kelly says his builders supply company lost more than £1,000 a week due to the road works.
