The Gate of India in Market Rasen is applying for a fresh Premises Licence, which allows the sale of alcohol.

Its licence was revoked recently after it was found employing illegal immigrants but an appeal against the decision has yet to be heard.

Applying under a new name (Mohammed Jullul Haque of Scunthorpe) was common in such cases should the revocation of the original licence be upheld, said a spokeswoman for West Lindsey District Council.
