Business booming in Brigg

Brigg business is growing as the number of superstores in the town goes up year by year.

Tesco has been located in the town for 20 years, as has Lidl, which in 2013 moved to a new riverside site in Atherton Way.

Aldi has outlined plans for a store in Bridge Street and B&M Bargains has opened in the past month in the former Lidl building in Spring Ways.

Officially opening on May 12, B&M has created up to 50 new jobs and alongside the new store is extended riverside parking.

Another smaller development on the riverside is a £15,000 scheme funded by North Lincolnshire to resurface and align the busy set of steps from the County Bridge down to Riverside from Springs Parade.

Further improvements at the locality will see the Brigg in Bloom scheme, led by the town council, improve floral displays on the riverside, in the market place and at the main approaches to Brigg.

An extra £30,000 could be made available for floral improvements.
