Brigg’s busy Lindsey Lodge Hospice Shop is moving to a new venue.
From tomorrow, Thursday, the new base will be the former Sentiments Gift Shop in Wrawby Street.
The store, next to the old Tourist Information Centre off the Market Place, closed last week.
The new premises will provide a much bigger shop floor, consequently there will be a greater capacity for stock and the end product will, hopefully, be more money raised.
And because of the bigger premises, the shop is on the look-out for more volunteers.
Anyone interested in volunteering can call at the new shop or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The hospice in Scunthorpe serves the Brigg area, with many local residents, in serious and life-limiting conditions, finding care there. Lindsey Lodge Hospice is an independent charity and although financially supported by the NHS, it still has to raise more than £1.4 million to meet the £2 million running costs for this year.
Without local support, Lindsey Lodge Hospice would not be the special place that it is.
