CAISTOR’S monthly farmers’ market had some added attractions to keep all the family happy this month.

The sun shone and the crowds gathered to sample some of the area’s finest produce, while younger visitors could get their face painted and meet Hamish the pony.

“It was another successful event, with three new stalls and more planned for the September market,” said town clerk Helen Pitman.

There was also a free prize draw to win a hamper of goodies, with the winner being Mrs Paddison of the town’s North Kelsey Road.

The next market will be on September 8, when there will also be the opportunity to learn more about the town’s history as part of Caistor Heritage Weekend. Pictured is Hamish, under the care of Vickie Butler, with Lola Chappell, aged three.
