87,000 drivers make use of free town parking

FIGURES released by North Lincolnshire Council show a total of 75,211 car owners used the free two-hour parking period in Old Courts Car Park in Brigg between August 1, 2011 and June 24, 2012.

The figures for the same period at The Angel car park were 12,460 obtaining tickets for free parking from the machine.

North Lincolnshire councillor Nigel Sherwood gave the information to the full town council meeting taking place at the Angel Suite and Coun Jenny Bell said: “We must thank the two hours’ free parking that generated these figures.”
