YOUNG people in Caistor will soon benefit from employability training thanks to a £10,000 grant through the National Lottery.
Caistor’s Arts and Heritage Centre is celebrating after receiving the grant from the Awards for All programme, which will provide training for every school leaver in the town.
The grant will cover the cost of CV building courses and e-learning modules for secondary school pupils, as well as employability and well being courses delivered from the centre.
The courses, delivered in an accessible, user-friendly style, aim to improve self-confidence and employment prospects.
The centre’s training consultant, Jo Dixon of HR2, said: “We were delighted to support the centre in developing a bid for funding that would create an on the doorstep training facility.
“We look forward to welcoming the school children from both Caistor Grammar and Caistor Yarborough Academy to the centre for their CV builder workshops.
“The first course for adult employability skills starts on November 28 and anyone wishing to book should contact me on 01472 802340 or call in at the centre for further information.”
