Brigg councillor appointed deputy leader

Brigg town councillor Rob Waltham has been appointed leader elect of North Lincolnshire Council.

As representative for the Brigg and Wolds Ward, Coun Waltham is the present deputy leader but has already taken on more of the duties of the present leader, Baroness Liz Redfearn, who was appointed to the House of Lords in 2015.

He is cabinet member for business, innovation, employment and skills and is chairman of the joint committee on shared services. He has also chaired the Ancholme River Trust.
