AIR Cadets from Market Rasen recently helped the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund raise money at Market Rasen Races.

During the race meeting, the cadets received donations of more than £800 in their collection buckets.

The Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund was formed in 1919 at Lord Trenchard’s instigation and has been providing welfare and support to serving and former members of the RAF and their families ever since.

They also maintain and preserve the RAF memorial in London on behalf of the nation.

On behalf of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, Market Rasen Air cadets would like to thank all those that donated money to the fund which will go to provide valuable support to those in need.

For youngsters aged 13 to 18 wishing to join, the local ATC Squadron meets at Waterloo Street, Market Rasen, on Tuesday and Friday from 7pm to 9.15pm.
