soundLINCS is inviting people of all ages to join an attempt at breaking the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® for the ‘Most People Popping Bubble Wrap’ at their 15th birthday celebration this bank holiday weekend.
The record attempt will take place as part of soundLINCS’ B15 event on Saturday, May 3, at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground.
“The world record is currently held in America and our attempt will hopefully see hundreds of people join us in a rhythmic popping extravaganza” said soundLINCS CEO Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE.
“Using 1,500 metres of donated bubble wrap, we will be assembling in the Epic Centre to record the most people simultaneously popping bubble wrap.
“We are delighted that Sealed Air, the inventor of bubble wrap, have made the attempt possible with a generous donation of materials.”
B15 will see more than 1,000 musicians and singers perform a piece of music involving 15 different music genres – including Jazz bands, orchestras, rock bands, choral - based on one traditional Lincolnshire song.
The performance will be broadcast online and viewed around the world.
If you find playing with other musicians enjoyable and inspirational and would like to be a part of an event that will capture the imagination of hundreds of people young and old, soundLINCS wants to hear from you whatever your age, level of experience or music genre.
soundLINCS are still inviting musicians, singers and anyone who would like to join the world record attempt to sign up now by calling 01522 510073 or emailing email@example.com.
Or you can join on the day by arriving at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, LN2 2NA at 9am for music or 12 noon for the world record attempt only.
