The hunt is on for the Face of Market Rasen Racecourse and a spectacular prize is up for grabs.
One lucky person chosen as the Face of Market Rasen Racecourse during Ladies’ Party Night on Saturday August 17 can look forward to a VIP visit to the track a fortnight later for the second Rasen Rocks night featuring McFly.
They will tuck into a Champagne dinner, get the chance to meet McFly before the band’s concert and an overnight stay at Buslingthorpe Manor.
On August 17 the evening’s entertainment comes from Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills who will perform a DJ set when the horse races finish at 8.10pm.
The winner of the Face of Market Rasen Racecourse will be chosen before his set and the lucky person will also feature in photos across the year for the racecourse, enjoy a personal shopping session at Blessed, Lincoln, and receive an outfit to wear for Saturday 31 August and receive a head to toe makeover at Quintessential Beauty in Market Rasen on August 31.
To enter the contest, all that visitors have to do on the evening of August 17 is register, have their picture taken and then await the announcement of the finalists before the overall winner is chosen.
General Manager Pip Kirkby said: “I think the new Face of Market Rasen Racecourse will really catch on with our visitors.
“Rasen Rocks 2013 with Scott Mills, McFly and The Vamps promises to be our best summer music events yet and we can’t wait for the gates to open for the opening night.”
Places for the first part of Rasen Rocks can be bought online at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk or by calling 0844 579 3009 to book general admission – with advance purchases qualify for up to 25 per cent discount.
Racing on August 17 is between 5.35pm and 8.10pm, with gates open two hours before the first race. On August 31, the times are 4.20pm and 7.30pm respectively for the first and last races.
On-the-day prices on August 17: Family Enclosure £15; Tattersalls £20; County £25. Unlike horse racing only fixtures at Market Rasen Racecourse when accompanied under 18s are admitted free of charge, tickets for children aged five years and over cost £6 each for Scott Mills.
Children’s tickets are limited in number, so early purchase is advisable, with a maximum of four children’s tickets per paying adult.
On-the-day prices on August 31: Family Enclosure £19; Tattersalls £24. Children’s tickets are sold out for McFly and The Vamps – adult prices now apply for 5-17 year olds.
