TELEVISION cameras for BBC2 were in the area today (Monday) to record an interview with David Ward of East Barkwith Post Office and shop, for the television programme 'Working Lunch'.
The footage was to be used as part of a programme to be screened at 12.30pm either tomorrow (Tuesday) or Wednesday on the future of the post office network and was to include an interview with Post Office boss Allan Leighton.

David said the cameras also went to Langworth, which is about to close, and he was asked what the loss of the post office facility would mean to his shop, if that happened.

David was selected after winning two £100 hampers from the 'My Shop is Your Shop' campaign. He is donating one of the hampers for a raffle for the Wragby swimming pool, and the other will be used as a prize in a New Year's Eve raffle in the village hall.
