Other church services will follow.

* Market Rasen’s RBL secretary and parade marshal Les Tranter said everyone would be welcomed at any of the services and public tributes to ‘remember the past and present sacrifices being made by our servicemen and women of the armed forces, wherever they may be’.

* Poppy sellers will be conducting house to house calls, stationed in towns and villages and there are also boxes in shops, including the Rasen Mail office.

* See next Wednesday’s Mail for full coverage and photos of the events.
