Hall fun run hailed a great success
THE FIRST Tealby Fun Run, in aid of the Tennyson d'Eyncourt Memorial Hall, was a great success.
More than 30 runners aged four to 69 ran the 2.3 mile course through the village.
Trophies sponsored by local businesses, Attica Design, the Kings Head, The Olde Barn, Youngs Garage, Sunnyside-up Farm Shop and Sutton Estates, were presented to the male winner, Jonathan Purkiss, runner-up Leo Madden and third-placed Mike Powell.
The first lady Beth Tyson, runner-up Emma Tyson and third Georgia Garthwaite were also awarded as was youngest competitor Beth Adams, aged four.Following the run, a bar and hog roast was available to satisfy the thirst and hunger of the runners and spectators and based on the success, it is intended to make the run an annual event.
