THREE weeks ahead of the Brigg Sprint Triathlon on Sunday September 27, entries are coming in fast and furiously.
It will be the second year of the event in the town, building on the success of the more established Brigg Adventure Challenge held in May.
The sprint triathlon involves a 400m swim at Ancholme Leisure Centre, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run on the banks of the Ancholme. The event is sonsored for a second year by Homecrafts Brigg Ltd.
Organisers will be hoping for better luck with the weather this year after heavy rain during the preceeding night caslled for a shortened run in 2008 after the riverside towpath flooded.
