THE A1084 BRIGG Road at Caistor was closed for more than six hours last evening (Wednesday) at about 8.30pm after a car left the road, trapping a married couple in it.
The couple in the red Vauxhall Corsa, a 51 year old man and 47 year old woman, both from Nettleton, were released by Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue and taken to Grimsby Hospital where they were detained with injuries that were not thought to be life threatening.

The road, which had been closed whilst debris was cleared and the car removed, was re-opened at 3am.
