Charity volunteers were knocked for six when Market Rasen Town Cricket and Association Football Club presented them with more than £1,200 on Thursday.

Members of the club raised the money for Help the Heroes earlier in the year when they held a charity football match and a sponsored walk, as reported in the Market Rasen Mail at the time.

On Thursday Kevin Bett, who organised the fundraising, presented the money to Linda O'Sullivan and Ginny Cade, local co-ordinators for the charity.
