A NEW waste recycling site for Market Rasen and the surrounding area looks set to be available from early in 2010.
Coun Lewis Strange, who is the executive councillor for Waste Services at Lincolnshire County Council, said the council now had an agreement, in principle, to purchase both the access road and the site for the new household recycling site to the north of the town.

“Once lawyers and the council’s own capital committee have given the go-ahead, we will be submitting our planning application,” he said.

He added that provided everything went ahead successfully, he expected work to start to build the site early in the New Year and to be completed about a year after that.
