Almost 400 people lined up for this season’s Market Rasen 10k, part of the West Lindsey Run series.
Organised by Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, the event saw club and hobby runners side by side to enjoy the run, which started and finished at the town’s racecourse.
“We are absolutely delighted with how the race has gone and pleased at how many people came out to run,” said Marc Rhodes, events officer for Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.
First across the line was Gary Thomas in a time of 34:18, followed by Joe Wilkinson 34:30 and Caistor’s Ryan Page in 34:34.
Natalie Farrow was first home for the ladies in a time of 37:12, followed by Beverley Wilson 38:29 and Hannah Bridger 39:43.
They all received a trophy, cash prize and a tea shirt from Richard Parnell, managing partner of main sponsors Bridge McFarland.
And for one team of runners it was also a great fundraising day.
Team Verrico is raising money to help fund treatment for mum of two Anna Verrico from Epworth as a rare form of breast cancer and added £4,205 to the fund through running the 10k. To find out more visit www.calls9.com/teamverrico
