DE ASTON School's A level students were celebrating after the school achieved a 100% pass rate for its students.
Seventy per cent of all A level students achieved grades A to C and 43% gained the highest grades of A and B.

"Given the fully comprehensive nature of the school, for all the students to achieve a pass is an incredible achievement," said head teacher Ellenor Beighton.

Sophie Cattell of Market Rasen (left) who passed four A levels, three at A grade, and Lucy Spalding who passed three A levels.

"Students working at all levels were encouraged to aim high and they went on to achieve their goals."

Students achieved an average of 701 points towards their university applications, the second significant year on year increase at the school.

James Kirman (left) will be studying Economics and Politics and Loughborough and Josh Carter is going to Lancaster to study Law and Criminology.

As a result, the vast majority of students gained places at their first choice of university and will study for degrees in courses as diverse as Law and Archaeology.

Several students achieved outstanding individual results. Amongst those with a clutch of As and Bs were Eleanor Palmer, Sophie Cattell and Ellen Thatcher of Market Rasen, Jane Chamberlin of North Willingham, Michael Strawson and Sarah Marshall of Walesby, Mayokun Braithwaite of Nigeria, Kieran Fleming of Caenby, Sian Grindley of Ludford and James Kirman of Hemswell Cliff.

Mrs Beighton said: "The most pleasing aspect of our A level results this year is the consistency. Students in every ability range have performed well in every single subject and achieved their potential.

"We are extremely proud of all of them. We are also extremely proud of our hard working staff, without whose efforts these successes would not have been possible."
