Talking the floor for centenary dance

Caistor celebrated the WI’s centenary with a tea dance in the town hall.

Members of the community were invited to the free event and were entertained by Brian Gaughan, who sang and played music for the guests to dance to.

A tea of sandwiches and home made cakes, displayed on traditional cake stands, were served in true WI style.

There was a large raffle, the first prize being a hamper full of goodies, and the afternoon ended with the singing of Jerusalem.

The next meeting – on Thursday, July 2 – is an outing to Doddington Hall for members.
