One of the county’s best village tennis clubs is nestling in the Wolds just four miles from Market Rasen and they are taking part in this month’s Great British Tennis Weekend to show just what they have on offer.

Tealby Tennis Club has grown and developed over the last 27 years through the constant commitment by members.

It is not just a few tennis courts, a place to change and get a drink - it is a group of enthusiastic people who like to try and play tennis.

Not only that, it is a place where those who want to start playing at any age and ability are accepted encouraged and supported and also a place where talents can be developed and success is celebrated.

“Not everyone reaches the dizzy heights of Wimbledon, but enjoyment and fun from tennis is available for all,” said Club chairman Clive Wilson.

The club runs a number of sociable playing sessions, as well as league events.

The Great British Tennis Weekend event is on Sunday May 17 from 1pm to 3pm.

This free event is open to non-members of all ages to include Family Tennis time, free play and the Great British Tennis Biscuit Bake Off competition, plus afternoon tea served at 3pm.
