HIBALDSTOW and Scawby Scout group has been awarded £510 for T-shirts to wear at an international jamboree.
The funding is part of North Lincolnshire Council’s grants scheme to help voluntary youth groups – £3,400 has been given out in total.
The scout group raised £10,000 to attend the event this year and camped there for three weeks.
The grants aim to support the delivery of youth work by helping meet the groups’ operational costs.
A Voluntary Sector Funding Panel - up to ten people - decides if funding should be awarded to groups and how much. The panel is made up of people nominated by youth groups and a council representative.
