Maintenance work to secure the safety of the hilltop church at Sixhills was completed in August 1960 - at a cost of about £400.

The fabric of the church, almost entirely built of local stone and prone to weathering, as a whole was sound, but the tower buttresses had perished.

The work was undertaken by Mr W Lusby of Walesby, who is pictured above, centre, along with Mr W Sparks, left, and Mr V Marshall.
