A total of 92 card players from a wide area travelled to Caistor for the 19th bridge day, raising almost £1,000 for church funds.

Winners were Bill Gibbs and Phil Nattress, who received two Cherry Valley Ducks and two bottles of wine (donated by the Co-operative Society); second were Hazel Crockart and Pauline Green, who received a bottle of whisky each, donated by Robert Jackson, and third place went to Margaret Major and Ann Kay, who both received a Cherry Valley Duck.

The Rev Canon Ian Robinson thanked all players for attending, the sponsors , the Ecclesiastical Catering Corps and church helpers for lunch and Game Director Tony Darley.
