Nostalgia: Cherry confusion
Last week we showed this picture of a tree being planted in Binbrook by members of the WI and village hall chairman Colin White.
However, the information we received aged Mr White somewhat, as our informant mistakenly said the event happened in 1953, when in fact it was in 1983.
The confusion has come about as the WI has a report of a tree being planted in 1953 and assumed this was the relative picture.
So were there two tree plantings at the hall?
