Lincoln Town Crier Karen Crow was the speaker for the autumn meeting of the Northwold Group, which includes WIs from across the Market Rasen and Caistor area.
Dressed in her official Lincoln green regalia, Karen gave an amusing account of how she became a town crier and what her official duties involve.
Karen can also be found wandering the streets of Lincoln dressed far more soberly in a full length black cape, leading the Lincoln ghost walks.
The meeting was held in Binbrook Village Hall and was hosted by Binbrook and District WI, who also ran a roll-a-penny game, raising money for their chosen charities - the Women’s Refuge and St Andrew’s Hospice.
Winner of the competition - for a bell - was Faldingworth WI.
