Clothes for the summer and the holidays featured in a mannequin parade sponsored by Market Rasen WI 55 years ago.
The picture above, from the 1960 event, featured in the Rasen Mail and shows the concluding tableau.
The report tells us: “One of the many frocks which appealed to us was a black and pink sun dress, faultless in drip dry cotton, which was priced at £4 9s 11d. How sweet and how cheap were dresses of this kind!”
Miss Audrey was also on hand with a demonstration of hair styles - the theme was ‘puffs and pleats’.
Sadly, none of the models pictured are named - maybe our readers can tell us who they are?
