After the last of their summer trips to Barnsdale Garden in Rutland, the club’s indoor winter meetings started last week in the Methodist Church school room.
The speaker was Geoff Hodge talking about pruning.
An entertaining and informative speaker, Geoff has written a number of books for The Royal Horticultural Society, one of which he was selling.
He has also been editor of Garden Answers and Garden News and has spoken on gardening on local radio in Cambridgeshire and Essex.
The next meeting, on September 17, will be the Autumn Show, when entries will be welcome from non-members and visitors.
The next speaker will be Martin Hay talking about the history of the rose on October 22.
