Trophy time at Market Rasen bridge club

Prizes galore were handed out a Market Rasen Bridge club’s annual trophy presentation and Christmas social evening.

The celebration was attended by 36 members and a friendly bridge competition was won by Grace Dobson with Vince Sherliker coming second.

Senior club member Emer Ward presents trophies won during the year to:

Valentine cup: Bob Handford and Adrian Underwood

Diamond Jubilee Cup: Guy Grainger and Ben Smith

Summer teams: Bob Handford, Charles Palmer, Mike Clendinning and Emer Ward

Summer Shield: Jo Pike

Spencer Cup: Bob Handford and Charles Palmer

Championship Shield: Louise Stone and Deborah Thomas

Parker Cup: Bob Handford and Charles Palmer

Winter teams: Don and Jo Glozier, Tim Fell, Mark Vincent

Les Ward trophy: Charles Palmer

Winter Handicap: Dave Worrell

De Aston Trophy: Dave Worrell

The club meets every Thursday evening at 6.45pm at the Cricket Club pavilion, bridge players are welcome to join, please contact secretary Guy Grainger on 01673 849647.
