The classics and rock both feature at Scunthorpe

The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is making a welcome return to the area next month, with a performance at Scunthorpe’s Bath Halls.

Back by popular demand, the Orchestra will make its third visit to the venue since it opened last year.

The talented musicians will be presenting another first-class programme of classic greats on Wednesday, November 14, at 7.30pm.

And talented violinist Chloe Hanslip will be joining the
Orchestra for Mendelssohn’s exquisite Violin Concerto, a work full of freshness, spontaneity and luscious melodies

This is framed by Rossini’s rousing Overture and Dvorák’s celebrated ‘New World’ Symphony, well known for its heartfelt slow movement, which was famously used in the Hovis bread advert.

The performance will also feature Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture.

The conductor is Christoph Koenig.

Tickets are priced £15 to £30 and are available from www.bathshall.co.uk

Alternatively call 0844 8542776 or visit the box office, which is open
between 10.30am and 4pm weekdays.

In total contrast, The Bon Jovi Experience will also be taking to the stage in the town next month – at The Plowright Theatre.

The Bon Jovi Experience is the only Bon Jovi tribute band in the world to have played and shared a stage with Jon Bon Jovi himself.

And fans would have thought there were two Jon Bon Jovis on stage that night, such is the resemblance of lead singer Tony Pearce who fronts the Bon Jovi Experience.

Formed in 1983, Bon Jovi have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide and have performed at more than 2,600 concerts in over 50 countries.

Recreating Bon Jovi Live in Concert, the Bon Jovi
Experience perform the band’s greatest hits – Livin’ on a Prayer, Keep the Faith, Bad Medicine, You Give Love a Bad Name, and many more.

The concert at the Plowright Theatre will take place on
Sunday, November 4, at
7.30pm.

Tickets cost £17.50 from the box office on 0844 8542776.
