Ruff boys rally to help Wragby pool
LINCOLNSHIRE folk legends The Ruffs have stepped in to help save Wragby pool from closure by organising a charity concert to help raise funds.
After hearing about the pool’s plight, band member Trevor Glenn, a former Navy Physical Training Instructor, suggested to fellow Ruffs Glynn Pout and Mick Bromell that they could help out.
Now they are ready to make a splash with a selection of their songs and a mix of comedy.
Trevor said: “The village hall was booked, so the primary school has kindly allowed us the use of their hall free of charge, meaning all proceeds can go directly towards the upkeep of the pool.”
The concert will take place this Friday, January 20, at Wragby Primary School in Silver Street, with admission £5.
Doors open at 6pm.
