Real Blues at The Hope this Sunday

THIS SUNDAY (17) sees the return of one of the most popular artists on the European Blues circuit return to the Hope Tavern at Holton le Moor

Leicester born and now German based Mick Pini keeps this regular date as part of his Summer UK tour. He is a genuine bluesman who simply loves to play, and you get the distinct impression that’s all he could ever do!!,

With Mick you are guaranteed the real deal - no pedals, no effects, just a rare 54 Stratocaster played by a bluesmeister.

With a life time in music you’ll hear echoes and influences from the whole tradition of the blues in Mick’s playing. His uncompromising adherence to a genuine belief in his music has never been deflected. Those distinctive raw, attacking riffs and phrases, often reminiscent of such legendary names as Freddie King, Albert Collins or T-Bone Walker are the hallmarks of Mick Pini: to encounter him live is a joy not to be missed - it’s a blues master class!

Eric Clapton called him the ‘legitimate successor to Peter Green’, while Mick Vernon described him as ‘having the energy and attack that made Freddie King one of the greats’.

The concert is from 4pm until 6pm and the charge on the door is 6.
