Ramblers are set to receive a warm welcome on walking day

WALKERS are welcome in Market Rasen again this Saturday, September 22.

Last year, Market Rasen became the first community in Lincolnshire to achieve the coveted Walkers Are Welcome status.

To continue the theme, another walking day is being held, with four walks ranging from four to nine miles taking place, starting at 10.30am from the Market Place, where there will be a promotional stall.

There will also be a self-guided heritage walk around the town and a trail for families.

Stuart Parker, of Lincolnshire Ramblers, said: “Market Rasen is on the up with a lot of focus on promotion of the town and the Walkers Are Welcome scheme aims to attract walkers into the area and bring further income into town from visitors.”

All are welcome and all walks are free.
