Music from the north at Caistor Sports and Social

Newcastle based duo Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell are the latest music makers to take to the stage at Caistor Sports and Social Club.

Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell met while studying folk and traditional music at Newcastle University.

Jonny won a prize for his song-writing while there and most of the material they now perform together is their own.

Delicate, haunting and heartbreaking are just a few of the words that have been used to describe their music .

They have supported The Unthanks on tour and look set for a bright future.

The duo has also just 
released their debut album - Kite - which features 12 tracks.

Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell will be playing at Caistor on Friday, November 2 and it is expected to be a sell-out event.

Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10 in advance or £12 on the door.

The Caistor gig is part of a month-long tour around 
England for Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell.

The tour will be a chance for the duo to promote their new single - Stand Up Show - which will be released on Monday, 
November 12.
