Make your own bear at Howsham
THERE'S a Make Your Own Bear event at Howsham village hall on Saturday July 11 at 3pm.
There will be bear themed games, crafts and activities for all ages to enjoy. You will be able to decorate your own gift bag to take all your makes and your bear home, decorate your own bear biscuit, plus join in with all the other crafts and activities lined up, and there’s a wonderful local lady story teller going too.
It will be a good fun day for all children who like bears, and adults are welcome to come and make their own bear too. Everyone gets a wishing star or heart for their bear along with its own personal birth certificate to remind you. There is no sewing involved.
There will be a minimum suggested price for each activity to cover costs, with any extra donations going to the park funds - 7.50 for the 8” bear and 11.50 for a 16” bear but they must be booked before hand.
Then everyone can enjoy a picnic in the park with their bears, and local Lifestyle group ‘The Fab Five’ will be helping out with refreshments and crafts too, before everyone heads home.
