Last concert of year at Kirton Live

Michigan artist Drew Nelson will be performing at the last concert of the year for Kirton in Lindsey’s Town Hall Live.

Organisers are expecting a good turnout for the concert to be held this Sunday, October 18.

Last year Drew signed a three-year record deal with Minnesota’s Red House Records label, which has a reputation of fostering some of America’s best folk artists.

In February, he released his first album on the label, Tilt A Whirl, which marked a shift in sound by an artist who isn’t content to stand still in the singer songwriter genre.

Drew’s songs evoke ghosts of America’s recent and distant past. His lyrical story telling and virtuoso guitar playing keeps audiences under his spell long after the show has ended.

And not only does Drew write and perform, he also makes his own acoustic guitars in the basement of his home.

Support comes from Leeds teenager Skye, who people may remember played a stunning set when she supported The Hut People back in May.
