PROGRAMMES for Market Rasen’s jubilee celebrations are now available giving all the times of the fun-packed day.

But time is running out for taking part in the two creative competitions.

The closing date for the draw a picture competition – open to the under fives – and the write a poem competition – with four age categories, including adult – is this Friday, May 25.

Entries need to be taken to the Salvation Army Shop in John Street or Scoops in Queen Street.

Businesses in the town are being encouraged to decorate their shop windows with a jubilee theme and judging will take place on Friday, June 1.

And of course on the day of celebration – Monday, June 4 – everyone is invited to go along in fancy dress of the period, which has the theme Crowns and Cloaks.

Prizes for all the competitions will be presented on Market Rasen school field at about 1.30pm on June 4.

There is still time to get together a tug of war team too.

Register your team of eight online at www.rasenjubilee.org where up to date information on the day’s activities is also available.

Printed programmes for the town’s jubilee event are available now from shops, businesses and information points throughout the town.

And of course, don’t miss next week’s Market Rasen Mail which will also include the full programme details.
