Free music workshop helps hit right notes

A free event is taking place later this month for anyone involved with music-making with children and young people.

The soundEMission road show will take place in Lincoln on Thursday January 17.

Delegates will include music leaders and teachers, instrumental tutors, community musicians and creative practitioners from around the county.

Running from 5.30pm to 9pm at Lincoln’s soundHOUSE in St Martin’s Lane, the soundEMission Road Show is an ideal opportunity to discover new projects taking place.

These include East Midlands Early Years Network, East Midlands Encouraging Talent and Potential Network and Children in Challenging Circumstances Network.

The event will also show how these will support the work of the Music Education Hub and music provision for local children and young people.

Details of training and networking opportunities created by these new funded programmes will be given too.

Delegates will be
encouraged to take part in
interactive CPD workshops and skills-sharing sessions and to find out more about
the soundEMission e-resource.

The event is part of a series of soundEMission Road Shows, which are being staged across the East Midlands by community music organisation soundLINCS.

Attendance is free, although pre-registration is encouraged.

For more details and to reserve a place, contact soundLINCS by calling 01522 510073, visiting the website at www.soundlincs.org or e-mailing info@soundlincs.org
