Folk’s generation game

TWO generations of folk artists team up for the next Town Hall Live concert at Kirton in Lindsey.

Tipped to be the next big thing on the new contemporary UK folk scene, 20-year-old Blair Dunlop will be in concert this Sunday, October 14.

And its been a busy year for multi-talented Blair; he took the helm of the newly-formed Albion Band and has toured extensively with them and as a solo artist, appearing at many of this year’s festivals.

He has also found time to record his first solo album – Blight and Blossom, released last week.

Joining Blair at Town Hall Live will be legendary bass guitarist Ashley Hutchings – a founder member of Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and the original Albion Band – who just happens to be Blair’s father.

Caistor duo Helian Keys will be the support act.

Doors open on Sunday at 6.30pm, with music from 7pm.

Advance tickets cost £8, available from OneStop and Premier stores in the town, by calling Brian on 01652 649230 or from wegottickets.com .
