Award winning The Lincoln Company bring John Osborne's classic play Look Back in Anger to the stage

FOLLOWING their success at the International Theatre Schools Festival 2011 in Warsaw, award-winning The Lincoln Company will be taking their production of John Osborne’s Look Back in Anger to The Riverhead Theatre in Louth for a week-long run.

This is the first time the company will have performed at Louth and theatre manager, Roy Hobson said: “We have a long and successful history of inviting drama colleges to present our February play and hope this production will be the first of many.”

The cast, which began rehearsals shortly after Christmas, comprises undergraduates from across all three year groups studying at the Lincoln School of Performing Arts.

Directed by head of school Dr Mark O’Thomas, The Lincoln Company gives this classic play a modern touch, where Alison’s ubiquitous iron is not the only thing left steaming.

John Osborne’s infamous attack on post-war Britain still resonates in a contemporary world where class antagonisms and misogyny have far from evaporated.

Performances take place at 7.30pm each evening, from Monday, February 20 to Saturday, February 25.

Tickets cost £7.35, with Silver Card Holders £6.50 and Under 18s £4, available from the box office on 01507 600350.

The company will also be performing at Lincoln Performing Arts Centre on Thursday, March 1, when tickets are £10/£8 Concessions, £5 under 26 and students, from 0844 888 4414
