Jay Tyler will perform at The Chase in Market Rasen

The chance to sample some of the wealth of emerging local musical talent is on offer at a Market Rasen pub this week.

The Chase in King Street is one of many local venues keeping the live music flag flying over the town and talented local performers are an important feature of its entertainments programme for the coming year.

First up is singer-songwriter Jay Tyrer, who will be performing there from 9pm this Friday, January 11.

Jay, now 18, comes from Holton-le-Moor and went to Caistor Grammar School.

After a short stay in America, and with the encouragement of his family, he opted for a career in music.

Over the past two years, Jay has worked hard to develop his singing and instrumental talents and now has an interesting repertoire of modern popular songs, including samples of his own work.

Recently returned from a sponsored road show tour, Jay is currently combining live performances with recording projects.
