A new take on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream comes to Ludford this month

A NEW take on one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays comes to Ludford this month.

And it is a welcome return to the village hall for the Northumberland Theatre Company as they present A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

This dreamlike tale brings aristocrats, workers and fairies together under the moonlight in woodland outside Athens, from where the enchantment begins in a potent mix of love, tension and magic.

This delightful, funny  production provides a highly accessible introduction to the Bard for children and adults alike.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream will be at Ludford Village Hall on Saturday, September 29, starting at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 and £5 in advance from 01507 313335, or £9 and £6 on the door.
