Dickens double bill for Wolds Words Festival

Author Charles Dickens links two performances at Louth’s Riverhead Theatre this week.

Lynn Shepherd is the author of Tom-All-Alone’s, a re-imagining of Dickens’s masterpiece, and first English detective story, Bleak House.

She will be talking about her novels and remaking classics, in particular ‘building a new Bleak House’.

Lynn is also the author of Murder at Mansfield Park.

The second performance comes from Brother Wolf Productions with Fagin’s Last Hour.

Charles Dickens’ classic tale of crime and punishment - Oliver Twist - is stunningly re-imagined in this powerful new stage adaptation.

Told from the point of view of Fagin the Miser, one hour before his execution, this unique one-man show offers a fresh insight into literature’s most controversial villain.

Both performances take place on Friday, October 19 - Building a New Bleak House at 7pm and Fagin’s Last Hour at 8.20pm.

As part of the Wolds Words festival, a combined ticket is available for £12. Individual tickets are also available.
