Cottage industries in spotlight

TWENTY-one of Lincolnshire's loveliest small and cottage businesses will be showcased in the Lincolnshire Living Fayre at Tealby on Sunday, July 5, 10am to 4pm, at the Tennyson d'Eyncourt Village Hall and spreading out onto the pretty village green, where there will be further stalls and refreshments.

This is the fourth year for this popular and well attended event, organised by Attica Design to showcase and promote some of Lincolnshire’s lovely country cottage crafts and producers.

“We aim to have a variety of good quality and some less usual products as well as something that will appeal to all the family”, says Lisa and Sarah from Attica.

“Among the beautiful things on offer will be pottery, artwork, photography and prints, handmade soaps, balms and candles, jewellery and scarves, ceramic chickens and garden sculptures, Waltham Herbs and Puddle Plants will be there also with their lovingly grown herbs and perennials and helpful advice on any garden dilemmas.”

Scrumptious refreshments will be served all day; home baked cakes and quiches, sandwiches and tea and coffee.

Sunnyside Farm Shop’s award winning butcher Nick will be there for the full day, serving the ever popular rare breed bacon sandwiches for breakfast and his delicious homemade burgers and sausages.

Attica, whose emporium of beautiful things is located at the heart of the village, in the former Fishers Butcher Shop, promote Tealby and its surrounding attractions as a pleasurable family day out and the Lincolnshire Living Fayre is intended for the family too.

There will be a children’s’ craft table run by local craft businesses and ice creams and lollies at the village shop next door.
