Can you become a master gardener?

PEOPLE in Market Rasen are being encouraged to become food growing volunteers.

Charity Garden Organic is working with councils around the area to develop a number of community gardens and encourage people to grow their own fruit vegetables.

The Lincolnshire Master Gardener project is a volunteer network supporting people and communities to grow fruit and vegetables in their gardens and communal land.

The scheme has been running for less than a year and already has 51 volunteers – but more area needed.

Each volunteer Master Gardener will be asked to support 10 householders to grow their own food and help advise a local community food garden.

A new training session is taking place on March 10 and 11.
