Can you help children go green?

Community champion for Tesco Market Rasen, Jenny Stimson, is asking Rasen Mailreaders to help her get children at Market Rasen Primary School growing their own vegetables.

“The school greenhouse, used by the gardening club, has been demolished by wind and it is now a mangled mess,” Jenny told the Mail.

“I am now appealing for anyone who could do a greenhouse to the school to get in touch please.”

Tesco is supporting the club by supplying pots and hanging baskets, as well as some spade work.

Seeds have already been planted - tomatoes, cucumber and peppers - which need to be grown in a greenhouse.

“It is wonderful to encourage the children with their gardening projects, so anyone who has a greenhouse, shed, sleepers, gravel or slabs they are willing to donate, please contact me on 07822 828955,” added Jenny.
